Nike Flagship store in Tokyo

The renowned architect Masamichi Katayama and his studio team Wonderwall inaugurated last November the new Nike store in Harajuku, the largest store brand at the point on the Japanese territory. Before mounting the three floors, guests can linger at the entrance chandelier composed of 500 white tennis in front of a wall covering that imitates hundreds of soles of shoes or a sculpture in front of the sneaker giant fossils look.

Demetrius and Ricardo, twins and owners of Dee & Ricky clothing line have been designing eclectic pieces with an enervative new take on retro trends. This aesthetic made Dee and Ricky create a natural partnership with Marc Jacobs who used the duo’s exclusive pieces for his runway show and with the help from some of fashion’s heavy influences, like Kanye West, Takashi Murakami, and Travis McCoy, Dee and Ricky gain notoriety.

Dee & Ricky’s collection is an expansion from their line of fun jewelry. This clothing company is well known in the street wear community for accessorizing with fun-wear. The twins achieve this by using a few new pieces such as, Lego inspired brooches, barrettes, pins, belts, buckles, and bow ties in different forms and colors.

Lego Revival

Iconic retro brands possess strong currency right now. The latest hails not from the annals of fashion or apparel but from the world of toys - we're talking about LEGO, the multi-coloured building bricks that we all grew up with. While LEGO is still one of the top children's toy brands, it is spontaneously morphing into a credible street brand, adopted by Gen Y hipsters who still nurture happy memories of playing with the blocks as kids. It's part of a bigger trend, which has seen other iconic mostly 80s brands such as Reebok enjoy unexpected revivals.
LEGO has been appearing in all sorts of unlikely applications from watches to cameras, bags and belts, to usb sticks, mobile phones and even cupcakes. Our favourites include a recent ad for hot fashion house Lanvin, which used colour-spray guns made from LEGO in a recent campaign and adorable LEGO fashion show video by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac which cast LEGO figures as fabulous high fashion catwalk models.

The Boys And Girls Lego Table

The creative studio Boys and Girls has launched a new conference table in their premises in Dublin. These are not the first to do so,but their performance made from 22 742 small Lego bricks covered with a sheet of glass.
