Luxury retailer holt renfrew revealed the icon autumn 2010 window displays at its department stores across canada. dedicated to iconography, holt renfrew’s creative director john gerhardt drew inspiration from the current design trend of fashion houses digging deep into their archives to further define their aesthetics and image. the windows celebrate a series of, yes indeed, iconic brands with the most recognizable images of our time that are inspired by art, architecture, music and traditions. to spice it all up, the installations include whimsical references to the personality or cultural heritage of each designer. holt renfrew’s main department stores are located in vancouver, toronto andmontreal.
